The 3s were coming from two consecutive defeats with the Pumas and away at Alton, the skipper asked the team to finish the next two matches with two wins and reach 31 points well above last year season.
First half saw a strong dominance from the 3s though none of the several opportunities were converted, second half started strong with Rupert, one of the U14 playing for the first time adult hockey, slotting into the net a precise pass from Thompson following a short corner. The 3s counted 10 short corners in their favour, nevertheless the second goal came from a personal great dribbling skill from Thompson.
To mention the other two U14 with keeper Harry always vigilant and defender Henry showing some good defence move, as they say the apple doesn’t fall far away from the tree (Gavin)
Next Saturday last match of the season away at Hamble and last time for the skipper in his captain's role
