Petersfield 3s started the match with 10 men for at least seven minutes and already in this phase we saw some nice triangulations and repeated attacks. The difference on the pitch was made by our juniors Ben, Rowan, Alex, Bruno and Ollie. The lesson learned during the training in having a pivot always ready to receive the offload gave many solutions to our attackers which more than once, could have resulted in a more ample score. The first goal was a textbook hockey action, with Roberto pushing the ball on the wing to Ollie who ran towards the opponent's D and once closed he looked for the pivot in Alex who immediately fed it into the D where Matt slotted into the net. The action of the second goal is no less notable, Roberto shot on goal as soon as he entered the D and Alex deflected it into the net, surprising the opposing goalkeeper. Application and focus during training definitely gave tangible results on the pitch.
