Petersfield came out of the blocks quickly expecting a tough game and hoping to make an impression on the Centurions quickly. Some quick reactions in midfield by Megan, Rachel H, Rachel M and Milly created an early opportunity for a goal that Laura unfortunately couldn’t capitalise on.

The home team had the upper hand for most of the first half with the visitors caught on the back foot allowing Lauren to make a trade mark run up the wing with a cross into the D for Laura to finish off. The visitors equalised before half time.

The Centurions regrouped at half time and upped the tempo putting Petersfield under pressure. The defensive trio of Kate, Donna and Lauren working hard to hold back the Chichester forwards . Zoe back in goal this week did a sterling job but after a flurry of short corners Chichester pulled ahead on the score board.

Petersfield continued to make a few attempts on goal. Kate made a debut appearance up front with a lovely cross into the D. Sadly the attempts didn’t quite hit the target.

The score board did not reflect the game with the home side gelling together as a team more each week.
