In blustery but dry conditions Petersfield U14 Boys travelled to Gosport to see if they could return to winning ways after losing to Chichester last week. Going 2-0 down after 10 mins wasn’t what was needed but a rally saw Alfie crash the ball into the next to bring us back into the game. Moving the ball out wide quickly resulted in some really promising breaks but sadly for Petersfield these were rare events and we allowed ourselves to be contained in midfield. Gosport moved into a 4-1 lead before an assertive penalty flick from Rupert after a surging run by Matthew gave a flicker of hope. Another break by Gosport then caught us napping, although the final score of 5-2 doesn’t reflect the even nature of the match.
